Kevin Martin is a new and upcoming country / pop music artist. He is 15 years old, and his identity is not to be released at this time to protect himself and his family. His first single, Down There, was released on October 20, 2009 and his debut album was released to the internet via youtube and myspace on November 6, 2009.

Philosophy

In one of Kevin's youtube videos (found at his youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/4KevinMartin)titled "My Philosophy", he states his view on his music: "As of right now, I believe that music is supposed to be enjoyed by everyone, so I am not going to charge anyone for it! =) Also, all of my new singles, latest songs, and album lists, along with announcements will be made right here on my youtube page ( http://www.youtube.com/user/4KevinMartin ) in the form of new videos and / or on my twitter ( http://twitter.com/kevmartinmusic ) and myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/kevmartinmusic ) pages. At this time, don't expect to hear any of my music on the radio. Thank you to everyone reading this, and please don't forget to listen to my music, especially my new single DOWN THERE! at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAxWrJOBcRA . I love you all! :)" In a statement later released by him, he says that he just wants to release his music online so that way it will protect his identity and will ensure that his music is free. Also, he said that as of right now, he will not do any live concerts but might do some in the form of new videos on his youtube and myspace pages. He states that it does not matter if he wins any awards or not because he thinks that music should be enjoyed by everyone. Kevin writes, sings, records, produces, and manages his own music. Or in his words, "Everything is done by me and my camera". All of Kevin's videos have a black background to keep his identity mysterious and his single and album covers do not have any pictures of him either. He stated on his myspace page in November 2009, "ALL of my music can be downloaded for free if you can figure out how to do it haha."

The First Identity

On October 20, 2009, Kevin released his first single, Down There. The song is mellow and meant to be very general so it can relate to anyone. It can be viewed on his youtube and myspace pages. . He released this single first since it was the first song he had written and he felt it was "something special". He really enjoyed writing this song and thought it would make a good frist single, although he said, "My voice does not truly shine on this song which is something I had not intended for that. I'm sorry world."

On November 6, 2009, Kevin released his debut album, The First Identity. The album can be viewed on his youtube and myspace pages. Kevin is very grateful for this album which he thinks, "turned out very good." He definatly enjoys all of these songs but said, "My voice does not sound the greatest on 'I Am Who I Am' and 'Down There'. I appologize for that." He later stated that is favorite song on the album is Raining, Pouring.

On November 17, 2009, Kevin released his second single called Grinding. It has been critically acclaimed.

Originating from Gisborne, New Zealand, I began as just a guitarist in a school band. All of a sudden, I'm busking with a Yamaha P.A System, my Fender Squire Stratocaster and my Yamaha Keyboard, wowing the streets of gisborne with a wicked (apparently) rendition of the Eagles' Hotel California.

Now I do a whole lot of Private Solo Gigs, and I play Eb Alto Saxophone too

Nathan Ray was born in Arlington, Texas; shortly after his family moved to Abilene, Texas where Nathan Ray spent most of his childhood; he started singing at the young age of 2 years old, and began performing at the age of 15. By the age of 18 he was singing regularly at karoke bars. He continued doing this for the next 4 years; at which time he realized that if he was ever going to get where he wanted to go he would have to play as well as sing. So at the age of 22 he picked up his first guitar. By the age of 23, he gave up karoke for good, and began performing in several Honky Tonk bars across the country solo and fronting several different bands in places such as his hometown of Abilene, Texas with the Silver Lining band and in Fort Worth Stockyards as Nathan Ray and Stillwater. From there he went on to other states such as Alabama where he fronted Southern Mirage. In Louisiana as Nathan Ray and Highnoon. Has also performed in Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Illinois, Connecticut, Colorado and most recently North Carolina. he has also appeared on a few variety shows early in his career. Nathan Ray has always had the love and passion and dedication for music. He would spend hours upon hours listening to his hero's such as George Strait, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks and many more. Listening to them sing it stirred a passion in him to pursue his own dreams and chase after the spotlight for most of his life. It has been a long hard ride and not always a rewarding one but he wouldn't change a thing about it. Looking back on all the places Nathan Ray has been and all the things he has seen and learned playing music in Honky Tonk's and bars across much of this beautiful country; the people he has met and the friends he has made have given him more than fame and fortune ever could. He doesn't know where this road will lead him but one thing is for sure he will never pull to the shoulder and stop driving. Music is in his blood and there is no changing that. You never know maybe one day you will hear Nathan Ray on the radio alongside his hero's. One day he hopes to be performing back in Texas where his journey first began and he hopes he will be welcomed back by his native Texans. Currently Nathan Ray is lead singer for Cowboy Up in West Monroe, La.Their a top 40 rocking country band that has been blowing up the local scene. Nathan Ray gives all his thanks and blessings to God because without him he wouldn't of made this far.
