“The game needs me” is an often heard cry in the hip hop arena. Artists use it to announce the arrival of their newest albums. Turf Ministries has not set out to change the game but change the world.

The “Turf” as they are known in the streets is a hip hop collective featuring the profound and prophetic voices of Maine Attraction, Big Ox and Minister Mustafa. The three were drawn together by a single mission: to stop the killing in the streets of the East Bay’s most violence wracked communities.

During the early part of this decade, each of the Turf Ministry artists was involved in peace rallies, food drives and stop the violence campaigns. In 2003, the rappers sat down and decided to combine forces.

Each of the rappers are ministers of the Christian Gospel. However, that is where the comparison to the Christian rap genre ends. The Turf preachers are gutter, ghetto and possess the hardcore street swagger that endears secular artists to their audiences. They are ministers who where Air Jordan sneakers and triple X size t-shirts instead of starched suits and ties.

A Turf concert is an experience not to be missed. Recent concerts have drawn hundreds of young people; many with dreadlocks and sagging pants. The young people rise to their feet as the hip hop warriors sound their war cry:

“We some Ministers! Turf Ministries is the clique, the Block our pulpit and the Lord is who we with…” The message of hope is uncompromised. Before the last note is sounded, lives are changes. Drug dealers agree to put down their automatic weapons. Fathers go back home to raise their children. Another generation of social activists is challenged to take back their community from the mayhem and devastation that has plagued post-civil rights America.

Turf ministries takes its message to the hardest hoods in the Bay Area; to places where many ministers fear to walk . The music saves lives. The message brings hope

Actualmente su primer videoclip se encuentra posicionado en los 10 mas pedidos de MTV, siendo uno de los pocos artistas independientes en Colombia que ha logrado esta meta, tambien se encuentra preparando su gira nacional para septiembre y octubre que abarcara 11 ciudades, seguida de esta para fin de año vendra una gira de promocion por las principales ciudades de Latinoamerica, mediante una alianza estrategica entre Shekinah y UO Productions. Asimismo, se encuentra en el proceso de producción del video de su segundo sencillo, el cual se proyecta a marcar una nueva tendencia en la realizacion de videoclips en Colombia. Kavelo alterna la promocion de su álbum La luz del mundo, con su profesion como ingeniero de sonido y productor musical, en la cual es uno de los mas reconocidos dentro del genero en el pais. Tambien ha dedicado tiempo de estudio en los ultimos meses para la preproducción de su segundo album el cual tendra una gran proyeccion internacional, ademas se encuentra trabajando en la banda sonora y diseño sonoro de varios cortometrajes y peliculas nacionales.

Inicio su carrera dentro del hip hop como MC en el año 1996, tres años despues conformo el grupo Uno a Uno, su primera presentacion fue en el Hip Hop al Parque 2001 donde el grupo fue destacado distrital, a partir de ese año Kavelo incursiono dentro de la producción musical, en el año 2004 empezo su carrera como solista, se ha presentado en Hip Hop al parque 2002 y en el 2005, comenzo a trabajar en su primera produccion ese mismo año, La luz del mundo el cual se lanza al publico oficialmente en el 2009. Kavelo ha participado en varios proyectos con reconocidos artistas dentro del hip hop nacional y en festivales importantes en ciudades como Medellín, Faca, etc. Ademas de ser Productor de su propio trabajo y de artistas como JHT, Patricia Medina, JVA, Juan Habitual, y otros.

Kavelo tiene seis años de formacion en produccion musical e ingenieria de sonido, incluyendo taller de produccion musical en Sound Logic Estudios a cargo del ingeniero Francisco Melendez y nueve semestres de ingenieria de sonido en La Universidad San Buenaventura.

Radical Praize is a Christian Rap Group made up of 3 African-American Christian Brothers. Spanning from Ft. Pierce, Orlando and Central Florida, Radical Praize also sing traditional Gospel songs and perform often with other artists. Their main message is: God can change you-God can deliver you for His maximum purpose. Radical Praize wants to get the message of God and His love in the street of America and beyond. Contrary to what is in the street, usually, a negative and unsavory environment. Their message also consists of prophecy-their goal is to alter someone's life-not to anticipate the future-their words are used to compel people to come to Christ, in the pardoning of their sins. Radical Praize focuses on the book of Revelation, in the New Testament of the Bible, specifically, the Nation coming out of the wilderness. Radical Praize is the first to admit that everyone praises God in a different way. When you listen to Radical Praize you may not even realize that their music is traditional gospel, due to its urban beats, while you are in your new whip on 24's or your 1957 Chevy that you just restored. They often say how people (Christians) are afraid to sweat for the Lord. Is a new suit or a fresh perm so important that you can't praise God? Radical Praize sing about the continuing message throughout the ministry of Jesus Christ; "Praise God no matter where you are at". When they are ministering at events or in the street, Radical Praize often wonder why people bring 'worldly' dances into the church to praise God. They feel that if they do this, why should people feel compelled to go to church, those persons would find no difference in the church or the street. The Group wants to reach the brother or sister on the corner whose selling drugs, looking for their next meal or even which purse to snatch. Their message is to make the audience understand that they are here with a message, not to preach down to, but to preach to people. They hope that their message reaches those who have been where they are. This Group is full of people who know what it's like to have your back against the wall, incarcerated, hungry, baby on the way, no family support and the system against you and the clear realization that the only true friend that you have is Jesus Christ. They want everyone to understand that all can be saved. For Salvation is the gift of God, not of works, which no man can boast thereof. Radical Praize defines themselves as men of God, who see themselves as 'preachers behind the beat'. Their logo, you will find, describes them to the letter, 3 men with hoods on, faces bowed down, holding a microphone with the Cross behind them. They never want to forget who changed their lives-Jesus Christ. Now, they are in service to him.

Rottis Bryant is an anointed young man that has really given his life to the Lord completely. Rottis was born for such a time as this; his future is secure and his presence makes sense. He is destined to succeed with what God has blessed him with; this is his generation! He is committed to ministering and reaching as many young people as possible. He was raised in the church and began writing poems at the age of 10. Rottis’ exceptional ability to write poetry lead to him being nominated for the year 2000 Poetry Award. He has gone down the path of doing things his own way, and has seen first hand what the world has to offer. He discovered that he couldn’t do it on his own anymore, and realized that Jesus Christ was the ONLY way. He then gave his life to the Lord and hasn’t looked back since. He began writing songs and then formed a group called “Righteous Flows” and realized his gift of rap. The group was blessed to tour throughout Louisville, KY ministering the word of God. During this time, Rottis wrote and produced many songs for the group.

In 2003 Rottis stepped out on faith and obeyed God’s word and began working on his solo project. He completed his project and sold by himself 150 copies in less then a month. He promoted his demo CD by ministering throughout the Louisville, KY area and performing as the opening act for various Christian Artists. He has traveled to Jackson, MI and ministered with Malloco Records and met with Harvey and the Canton Spirituals, Melvin Williams, Paul Porter, and many others. Through this entire process Rottis still felt a void in his life. He prayed and worked hard as he searched for a more intimate relationship with God. Rottis is more focused than ever now and constantly is ministering and telling everybody about the truth and the life through Jesus Christ. His goal is to reach as many youth as he can and tell them about Jesus and life more abundantly. He is the proud father of two beautiful children and now resides in Fayetteville, NC. God truly has His hand on this young man’s life and is without a doubt moving him to higher places.

I don't I'm anyone special but I do believe God has given me a gift and tallent that will touch lives!!! I'm not much of a crowd speaker but this is one way I know how to deliver His message. I also can't sing...lol.....So this is as close as I'll get to it...lol...I love God and I love to make music in His name!!!!! I promise one day I will be performing in front of thousands and making a change through my music! Please don't think what I'm looking for is fame and to get known, that is honestly the last thing on my mind!!! I just want to draw people to Christ and perform with people who also have the passion to deliver His word!!!
