Artist Profiles

Artist profiles are fully featured press kits and are a fantastic tool for industry representatives and music fans to get all the information they need about you and your music.

Homepage

The artist profile homepage offers a general description of you as a solo artist or your band. This area offers a summary of what you and your band are all about, what your influences are or whatever else you wish to put here. The profile homepage also contains the latest news blogs posted, upcoming gigs and the latest music uploaded.

Band Member Profiles

If you are a band this area is where your individual band member profiles are displayed. Each band member can edit their personal profile. This area also links to a band members personal profile page. If a band member is not registered with MyMusicStream another band member can setup a profile for them or invite them to register with MyMusicStream so they can control their personal information.

Music

The music area of your profile allows artists to offer music for streaming play in MP3 format using our flash player. You can also offer MP3's for free download or for sale at prices you can set for each track. When music is played or downloaded from anywhere on MyMusicStream statistics are collected which affect the artist's position in the charts. Members can also read reviews with the ability to rate and review your tracks.

Video

The video area of your profile allows artists to offer video for streaming play in flash format using our flash player. You can actually upload videos in most formats and MyMusicStream will automatically convert to the flash format. Online music videos are a growing industry and this area on the artist profile is very popular with fans.

News Blogs

News blogs are a very good method of keeping your fans up to date. The news blog area of your artist profile will display all the latest news that you post. The artist profile also contains links to your very own news RSS feeds. RSS feeds are a part of Web 2 and are an excellent form of promotion. Fans can subscribe to your RSS feeds with their reader and have your news appear instantly on their desktop the moment you post it.

Gig Listings

Want more people coming to your gigs? Then use the gig listing functionality on your profile for all your upcoming shows. As above with news feeds the artist profile also has upcoming shows RSS feeds. This means that your fans have easy access to your gigs listings on their desktop.

Photo Galleries

The photo galleries are is a great place to upload all your photographs. You can create photo galleries, date them and upload all your promotional images. Artist photo galleries are very popular with fans so make sure you upload as many images as possible.

Contact Form

An important part of promoting your band online is for people to be able to contact you. To avoid web crawlers extracting your email address we never post email addresses online. Instead we have build and online contact form for fans and industry professionals (hopefully talent scouts) to contact you. When someone uses this form all band members are sent the contact details.

Mailing List Subscription

Your artist profile also has a mailing list subscription functionality, allowing members and non-members to subscribe. If a non-member subscribes they are asked to confirm their email account to ensure your mailing list is clean.

Fan Communications

Members can add an artist to their favourites list using the add favourites link, recommend the artist to friends and view/post comments about an artist.
