Up around the corner released

Hi all, Lee here.

We Released the "exclusive demo" today as "Up around the Corner" - Our latest song, featuring vocal glitching at the outro that makes the song well worth listening to, it's a song about pushing yourself to the limits if you want to make it, with a different atmosphere than our last few, definately another unique Dance / Club song with great ambience and more interesting vocal techniques.

As the title implies, I hear alot of good music on this site, and it's a shame that it's not easier to get into a studio and have your songs realised to their full potential.

To remedy this to some extent I'm going to offer to those of you with very limited cash supply (like myself) an almost free demo mix of your song/s.

Send me a message if you're interested and I'll tell you what I can do for you based on what material you have.
For instance if you only have your mp3 and no .wav's of the instruments in the song, I can still help to an extent though only really EQ and some stereo imaging.

If you have seperate .wav files for your drum track, vocals, and other instruments I can lay them all down and and make them shine.

One thing, if your vocal recording is incredibly lo-fi there may not be too much I can do, thus why I'm offering this service practically for free. there will be no charge for simple jobs and an incredibly low one for jobs that take a fair bit more time.

Hi, Lee here!

Well, since uploading the reworks our radio play to download ratio is nearly 2:1 and it wouldn't happen if you didn't listen! I'd like to say thanks for listening to us, I really hope you like what you hear, and judging by the downloads most of you that hear us do, there will likely be one more release of each of our songs, a professionally recorded version.

I'm not going to a studio to do it, I'm going to do it from home, which means building a soundproof booth or room (most likely a booth) recording several different takes (hype tracks, backing vocals etc) and then spending maybe a week or more on the songs to really get that finishing touch the gets the professional artists so well known.

We're focusing hard on writing new material as well, we have at least 6 songs with lyrics that aren't ready yet, we haven't had enough time to record as often as we'd like, and are still nutting out bits and pieces of melody, breaks and some instrument settings, I will say they all sound alot more similair to each other than our current releases, and will probably undergo massive changes before I publicly release them!

We also have a Rock demo available, though majorly incomplete, we may upload it depending on feedback from you all, for those of you that enjoy pink floyd, it would be easiest to say this is our "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces" or "Careful with that axe, Eugene".

If you haven't yet check out our "Exclusive Demo" It's still untitled but essentially it's a song about getting off your ass and making a move if you ever want to make it

We've also reworked our homepage, I spent most of the weekend redesigning our "image" including finally getting a copy of our logo officially onto my PC (it was hand drawn) using Google Sketchup, I may soon release some music clips based out of Google Sketchup and Blender (when I learn to use blender that is, not a very user intuitive program that one)
As for the homepage, check it out, tell me what you think? still a long way to go I reckon, but until I get a 35mm SLR Camera I can't improve the picture quality to the level I want so I'm really pushing to get the music quality good enough to make people wanna stick around .

Unfortunately we can't dedicate as much time to music as we'd like, with Summer around the corner here in Australia our imperative has been clearing the property we live on to minimise risk of bushfire, and with the drought always a problem in this state, we're also setting up better water storage facilities (we have drinking water via mains but can't water the garden - 3/4 acre property....) so I bought some plastic lined 44 gallon drums and linked them to the downpipes on the house!
For anyone with a low budget, google 44 gallon drums, ring your local factories, I get 4 for 30 dollars and that holds 205 litres x 4 = 820 litres water storage, they'll need taps installed in the bottoms, or a good hand winding pump to get the water back out (i use a plastic Syphon pump that I got for 2 bucks, not the fastest way but it works and no effort) and they're extremely heavy when full (around 280 kilo's) but it'll cost you at least $120 for a 900 litre "water tank" that is a white / transparent colour (will grow bacteria easily unless painted etc) however if you keep the drums clean / filter rain water and they're plastic lined this shouldn't happen.

I've also been looking up home made foundrys (extreme fire hazard haha) to make some Rythmik Love metal keychains etc, check out the artful bodgers home foundry (google)

New "Exclusive Demo" Released, Official Site Updated!

Hi all Lee again.

Checkout the new site format - We've reworked the artwork (thanks to Amie), and the profile, including new pictures of Amie, and a whole host of links to places you can find us here on the internet, including a player for some of my older material for those wanting to hear it (it's below the biography)

While you're there have a listen to the new demo, download some songs for free and join the mailing list.
We're getting closer and closer to recording date (from demo to "studio" quality) and I'll be blogging about it at http://rythmiklove.blogspot.com <- I'll also be reviewing other mymusicstream artists as I hear them on the radio.

We have to build either a soundproof booth, or come up with some other way of cancelling as much noise as possible while not costing much money, when I come up with something conclusive I'll be releasing a how-to with some 3d models and animations for anyone to download / view and hopefully build themselves.

New Demo Coming Soon! & Rythmik Love Shoutcast radio

Hi all,

We've stumbled across a monster (of Pop I hope) and managed to mix together a Demo that I'll soon be uploading, it isn't named yet specifically, we're throwing some ideas around but until I've got A good final vocal mix from Amie, we're leaving it loose. It'll be a little more freeflowing than usual, with some awesome vocal glitching at the outro, A song about getting yourself out there if you ever want to make it !

If you haven't yet check out the reworks of Where are we going? and Show Me love - we are getting closer and closer to a professionally polished sound, many hours have gone into the songs and I really hope you find them enjoyable (I haven't had the chance to test them on too many stereos so sorry if they aren't perfect).
we'll be re-releasing the whole lot after we've re-recorded Could have been under their true Rythmik Love EP Status!

We're also going to be hosting the occasional radio show on shoutcast, we'll play our regular tracklist, though in a DJ Fashion, but I'll also throw in a few songs without vocals yet to give you an idea of what's coming!

Rythmik Love Reworks & Remasters! Greatest sound yet!

Hi all, well a few days hard work in the studio and I finally pulled off what I set out to acheive with Where are we going? and Show me Love.

Hi to all, well it's been a disastrous few weeks, I've burnt my hand up pretty bad as some of you may know, it's pretty well healed though left a nasty scar that'll be there for a few years at the least I guess (if not permanently) I've been working hard on remastering some of our older tracks, though to be honest, when we get back on our feet we'll be doing alot of re-recording, and maybe even complete song changes to make them more pop themed - Get enough is a new song coming soon, it's very.... Vocal trance, Kind of with an Aqua feel, Some great buildups and I've done some vocal glitching too!

Keep your eyes and ears peeled - where are we going and waiting have been reuploaded very recently (a few hours ago) so check em out. really trying to make sure the songs have great atmosphere and good movement, instead of having the crap limited out of them.

Working for the weekend - Remix and Master.

Hi all.
What a long week (last week) alot of personal BS getting in the way of us being able to attempt any singing etc for the majority of the week (got a couple new melodies down for 2 new songs coming :) ) though I burnt my hand pretty bad so it's slowing me down alot (Can't play AA3 dammit) and am going to the doc today to find out all the horrible details about what they're going to have to do blabla.

Never one to quit so easily, I did manage to remaster both 'Where are we going' and 'Waiting' again, I had been using a surround sound system that is old and has an... interesting cable system (due to me hacking it to pieces and making it 1/4 inch for computers) which rendered the "stereo image" of our music utterly useless (sounded mono to me) so with new speakers and headphones when necessary I spent the weekend painstakingly (and painfully) getting these two songs up to scratch, I hope you'll give them another listen now if you have before, and if you haven't now I really feel confident they'll be worth your time, there'll be more updates later in the week, hopefully we can rerecord could have been heaven soon as I love that song and Amie is aching to complete our older works.

Urgent Remaster of music! - new content, some fixes and tweaks, great improvements coming!

Hi all,

Well I finally got some near field monitors, and oh my god the mastering on most of these tracks was terrible, except for show me love which i must have fluked, my other speakers didnt show the gaping flaws in the mastering of previous tracks so im rereleasing the lot very soon, im already working on where are we going, and waiting (though waiting is pretty damn good now it only needs minor tweaks) we will be re-recording and playing around alot so im sorry if there isn't alot of new content for you in the next few weeks, we are working flat out to produce at a better quality than so far so Please bear with us as!!!
