General update, 25 October 2008

It's been a busy time lately - as always. Here's what's been going on:

I entered "A Pain That I Feel" and "The Dead State" into the Garageband.com contest, in the electronic genre. APTIF is Track of the Day for 3 October and TDS is Track of the Day for 26 October.

I heard from a new fan in Berlin, Germany on MySpace. She really likes my music and spread the word to her friends. I was very flattered. Thanks, Angela!

I've been working on some new songs. I haven't decided whether to wait and release a new album or release them as singles as they get finished and compile them into an album later. It partly depends on how many are finished around the same time. Sometimes I push several along and rotate among them while working to keep things fresh and keep my ear from tiring.

I've been working on adding vocals to the songs on Coldest Dishes: Instrumentals. I still don't know when I'll be ready to release the vocal versions, but the most recent takes are encouraging. I would still like to find a lead vocalist, but I don't seem to have much luck with that. Perhaps I'm just meant to do this myself.

Coldest Dishes: Instrumentals is now on CD Baby. Here are the links:

The physical CD is for sale. Regular price is $12.97 (USD). There is a 40% discount if you buy more than one of this CD, and if you buy this CD along with at least two other CDs from other artists, it is only $5. MP3 downloads are still free (see the link on the audiodef.com home page) from Kallisti Gold Recordings (www.kallistigold.se – also on MySpace).

A note about the CDs: they are currently made by me, in my studio. I recently bought a photo/CD printer for this purpose. I use reclaimed jewel cases and card stock with recycled content. This might have to change if I ever sell a lot of CDs, but for now I'm happy with this arrangement. Jewel cases might have small flaws and I will use inserts even if the printer is starting to run out of ink, because it's greener to do so. I will not, however, use broken jewel cases or inserts that look absolutely terrible.

The "for sale" CD is not associated with Kallisti Gold Recordings, as per a discussion between Alexis Erisian and myself. However, if you'd like a CD for your radio station, club or other broadcast/public performance venue, I or Alexis at Kallisti Gold will be glad to send you one free. Within the US, ask me. In Europe, visit kallistigold.se and request one from Alexis, or just ask me and I'll pass the request along to him.

The info for the tracks on MySpace now reflect the correct album and record label, and are downloadable directly from MySpace.
